We are nearing the end of National Suicide Prevention Week. This is the week that our Suicide Crisis Centre opened and started taking referrals.

Several volunteers completed their ASIST training this week. This is the final stage of their training with us. Our remaining volunteers will take their ASIST course in early October.  We are hugely proud of our volunteers.

On World Suicide Prevention Day (10th September) we had a presence at the excellent Sane conference on suicide prevention in London. One of our team had partipated in their recent research on suicide. The research focuses on how family, friends and communities can support a person who is at risk of suicide.
